Quick answers about orders, delivery and keeping your slime happy.

Orders & delivery

How long until my order ships?
We pack orders in Melbourne within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Victorian public holidays). Big sales, launches and holidays can take a little longer.
How long does delivery take?
With Australia Post Parcel Post, about 2 to 4 business days within Victoria and 3 to 6 business days interstate, after dispatch. Regional and remote areas can take longer.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on Australian orders of $150 or more (after discounts, before shipping).
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to eligible countries. Rates and options show at checkout. Some countries restrict slime ingredients, and import duties or taxes may apply.
I'm ordering for a birthday. When should I order?
No more than two weeks before the big day, while leaving enough time for delivery. Slime is freshest when it's played with soon after it arrives.
Can I pay later?
Yes. Pay in 4 with Afterpay, or check out with PayPal or Shop Pay.
Can I add a gift box?
Our Main Course kits (and a few desserts and drinks) come in the premium Slime Chef box. For everything else, add the box for $6.99 on the product page or in your cart.

Playing with slime

Is it edible?
No. Our slime looks delicious, but it's for pretend play only. Not food, do not eat.
What age is it for?
Ages 7 and up, with adult supervision recommended. Some kits contain small parts, so keep them away from young children and pets.
My slime is sticky. Help!
Totally normal, especially in warm weather. Add a little Sticky Slime Spray (the activator in your kit), knead it in, and repeat slowly until it feels right. A little goes a long way: too much makes slime firm.
My slime is too firm.
We activate slime a little extra so it survives the post. Warm it gently between clean hands and knead it slowly. Most textures soften as you play.
How long does slime last?
With good care, several weeks or more. Keep the lid on tight, store it somewhere cool and out of the sun, and play with clean hands. If it smells odd or shows mould, throw it out.
How do I get slime off things?
Play on a clean, smooth surface, away from carpet, clothes and furniture. Vinegar helps lift slime from hard-to-clean surfaces.
What's in your slime?
Depending on the product: PVA glue, a borax-based activator, fragrance, colourings, clay and texture ingredients. Some kits include plastic decorations and pretend toppings. Check each product's packaging for its warnings.
What's a fortnightly drop?
Tiny batches of new mini slimes (our Appetisers) released every second Friday. Best sellers come back, new ones join. Join the Chef's Club to get a reminder.

Returns & help

Can I return my order?
We don't offer change-of-mind returns. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, email admin@slimechef.com.au with your order number and photos and we'll make it right. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply.
Something is missing from my kit.
Check the packaging and the contents list, then email us your order number and the missing item and we'll sort it out.
Do you do wholesale, events or custom orders?
Send us a message on the contact page with the date, quantities and a short description. Custom orders aren't a standard service but we're happy to chat.
What if slime gets swallowed?
Seek medical advice. In Australia, call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26. In an emergency, call 000.
